This SNAS Registered Member Code of Conduct declares the main obligations embraced by SNAS for its registered members in compliance with the requirements of the international organizations EA, IAF and ILAC associating accreditation bodies:
To ensure a steady fulfilment of accreditation requirements in the field in which the accreditation has been granted to it.
When changes of accreditation requirements are announced, to start fulfilling them by the date set by SNAS.
To render, on request, assistance and cooperation necessary to SNAS to check whether accreditation requirements are met on all sites where the conformity assessment services are provided.
To allow performance of required assessment, follow-up ordinary or extraordinary surveillance by SNAS employees as well as monitoring activities of SNAS employees and provide them all necessary information, documentation and cooperation for the performance of the above-mentioned activities and dealing with complaints.
To observe the principles of impartiality and independence, enable access to documents relevant to the observance of these principles.
If so requested by SNAS, to arrange for witness assessment of the services provided and to allow SNAS assessors access to premises of the client's organisation, where activities connected with witness assessment are carried out.
To exercise its accreditation only within the field and scope for which it was granted.
Not to use its accreditation in a manner that could harm the good name of SNAS.
To cover payments for services provided in time and in the amount agreed.
To inform without delay about important changes concerning accreditation:
changes in the legal, commercial, ownership or organisational status,
changes in organisation, top management and key personnel,
changes in basic policy,
changes in resources and premises with their equipment,
changes in the field and scope of accreditation,
other changes that could influence the ability to fulfil accreditation requirements.
To fully respect SNAS requirements for the application of accreditation status when referring to its accreditation in the media (internet, documentation, brochures, advertisements). To refer to accreditation only in connection with the activities and within the scope stated in the accreditation certificate.
To strictly observe the conditions stated in the licence agreement concerning the use of the combined ILAC-MRA-SNAS and/or IAF-MLA-SNAS marks.
To use the SNAS accreditation mark on calibration certificates, test reports and certificates on conformity in the field and within the scope of accreditation granted during the validity of the accreditation certificate in accordance with MSA-02.
Not to make any declarations about its accreditation that could be considered to be misleading or incorrect.
To accept responsibility for making sure that no report or certificate or any part of them be used in a misleading way.
In the case of withdrawal or suspension of accreditation to immediately cease the use of the SNAS accreditation mark, the combined ILAC-MRA-SNAS and/or IAF-MLA-SNAS marks (if granted), promotional materials containing information on the granting of accreditation and reference to the accreditation status.
Not to use its accreditation in such a way as to imply that SNAS approves the products, processes, systems or personnel of the accredited organisation.
To participate in projects of inter-laboratory comparison and proficiency testing on a national or international level. On request to submit to SNAS results of ILC and PT as well as conclusions from the analysis of unsatisfactory results (only accredited laboratories).
To submit applications for reaccreditation (reassessment) not later than six months before the end of the validity of the accreditation certificate and to provide complete documentation for the beginning of the reaccreditation (reassessment).
Non-observance of the duties of a SNAS registered member is ground for the suspension or withdrawal of accreditation (as well as suspension or withdrawal of SNAS registered membership), or ground for imposing sanctions in accordance with Act 264/1999 Coll. as amended.
