Accreditation of Inspection bodies

SNAS has been a signatory of the EA MLA and ILAC MRA in the area of inspection bodies since 2003. Accredited inspection bodies work in both the regulated and non-regulated areas. Almost 80% of accredited inspection bodies are in the regulated area.

SNAS cooperates with the following regulators in the assessment of the regulated area: UNMS SR, MŽP SR, MDV SR, DÚ, NIP and ÚKSUP.

Accreditation for the purpose of notification

SNAS, in cooperation with ÚNMS SR, accredits notified bodies for the purpose of notification according to MSA-N/01, especially where the ISO/IEC 17020:2012 standard is the preferred standard under MSA N/01 (EA 2/17).

Notification of entities providing authorized inspection in the field of emissions pursuant to Act 146/2023 Coll. and Decree No. 299/2023 Coll. of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.

SNAS is, pursuant to Act 146/2023 Coll. on Air Protection and on Amendments to Certain Acts and Decree No. 299/2023 Coll. of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, the notification authority for entities providing authorized inspections in the field of emissions.

Accreditation of vehicle technical services according to Act No. 106/2018 on the operation of vehicles in road traffic, in the field of transport of dangerous goods (ADR) according to Act No. 56/2012 accreditation according to Act No. 338/2000 Coll.

Accreditation of vehicle technical services according to Act No. 106/2018 Coll. on the operation of vehicles in road traffic, in the field of transport of dangerous goods (ADR) according to Act No. 56/2012 Coll. on road transport and in the field of vessel accreditation according to Act No. 338/2000 Coll. on inland navigation.

Cooperation in the area of authorization with the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic is in the area of accreditation of vehicle technical services according to Act No. 106/2018 Coll. on the operation of vehicles in road traffic and on amendments and supplements to certain acts and in the area of transport of dangerous goods (ADR) according to the Decree of the Ministry of Transport of the Slovak Republic and on amendments and supplements to certain acts, which implements Act No. 56/2012 Coll. on road transport and in the area of shipping according to Act No. 338/2000 Coll. on inland navigation and on amendments and supplements to certain acts.

Accreditation of inspection bodies according to Act No. 513/2009 Coll. on Railways and Decree No. 205/2010 Coll.

Cooperation with the Transport Authority is in the accreditation of inspection bodies according to Act No. 513/2009 Coll. on Railways and on Amendments to Certain Acts and Decree No. 205/2010 of the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic on Specified Technical Equipment and Specified Activities and Activities on Specified Technical Equipment.

Accreditations in the field of organic farming according to Act No. 282/2020 Coll.

SNAS cooperates with the ÚKSÚP in accreditation according to Act No. 282/2020 Coll. on organic agricultural production. Experts from the ÚKSÚP participate in assessments of organic agricultural inspection bodies.

Accreditations of Authorized Legal Entities under the Act on Occupational Safety and Health Protection No. 124/2006 Coll.

SNAS accredits OPO (Authorized Legal Entities) in accordance with Act No. 124/2006 Coll. on Occupational Safety and Health Protection. The regulatory authority in this area is the National Labor Inspectorate (NIP).

Submitting an application for accreditation

The application for accreditation service is submitted exclusively through the accreditation information system AIS.

inspection bodies, it is necessary to submit the completed Appendix OA 5, which contains both forms OA and TL606.

Slovak National Accreditation Services has launched electronical services for providing accreditation services. All processes, including  filling in the applications for providing accreditation services, its course, procesing results from testing of whole service, are solved electronically - directly by Accreditation information system - AIS.

It is necessary to have internet connection and web browser for AIS usage. Access to AIS is possible anytime on website AIS

New applicants for accreditation have to fill the registration form for their legal entity on website AIS

Application for accreditation services can be submit only through AIS.

Submission of an application for a change in accreditation of a formal nature

In the case of a change in accreditation of a formal nature according to point 7.1.7 of MSA-04 (e.g. formal adjustment in the area or scope of accreditation, change in normative documents, change in a standard that does not affect the method, incorporation of reported changes to a flexible RA, adjustment of the RA resulting from the requirements of the regulator, adjustment of the RA resulting from the requirements of mandatory documents EA, ILAC, IAF, other adjustments that do not affect the relevant identifying data, etc.), it is necessary to submit an application on form TL 607 Application for a change in accreditation of a formal nature.
